“Kinjishi the “Flying Pirate” (空飛ぶ海賊 金獅子 Sora tobu Kaizoku Kinjishi?) is a currently unseen individual in the world of One Piece. His name, Kinjishi, means “golden lion”.
20 years ago, Kinjishi was the first prisoner to escape from Impel Down, due to a mistake made by the Marines. His actions would be repeated by Monkey D. Luffy, along with a large army of prisoners recently.

It was kinda obvious and this information has been divulged for months now, but I thougt I’d put it out there since I haven’t mentioned it yet. So it seems the main atagonist in the next One Piece movie will be the first man to ever escape the walls of Impel Down. It’s not confirmed but it looks very likey to happen. Interesting…

Straight to the breakdown! This chapter’s front page story covered the adventure of our favorite panty wearing cyborg Franky. I’m confused though… At first he was greeted by the natives of the land and asked for some warmer clothes and the next he’s being chased by cyborg animals and most impressively a snake that can shoot a BEAM! *_* What ungracious hosts these folks are…Lol, matter of fact I bet Franky did something perverted to piss the people off or walked into a nasty situation as the Straw Hat Pirates are so accustomed to. Go Franky go!
'Premature Celebration'. Should have known anything with premature in its name usually ends up badly.
Now on to the main story which is oh so sad… The escapes have finally reached the battleship and are cheering for their victory…except for Jimbei. Either he knows something we don’t or he’s just the cautions till’ the end type. Suspicious…anyway the prisoners are vowing to be better people to never experience that hell again. Tears of joy flow freely and much jumping and screaming for freedom is abound. Hell, even the whale sharks decide to celebrate with their huge creepy smiles…seriously have you’ll taken a good look at them? Creepy as hell! Ivankov is yelling for Inazuma’s treatment but it is yet to be explained how he survived and cured himself. Most important of all though do you know who gets all the credit for this unprecedented victory? LMAO, Captain Buggy! XD

Magellan pulls out a baby Den-Den Mushi and calls for a ship to pursue the escapees. Ah, so he did have some sort of communication but it’s only short range. Should have figured that out when he commanded the ships to depart! >_< Ahem…so it’s not all smooth sailing for the escapees yet. The ships dry their gunpowder and open fire on the apprehended ship. I just learned an important lesson from Jimbei this chapter. A Battleship is like a Rocket Launcher in any shooter game. No matter who handles it it’s always a destructive force and you can’t f**k up with it no matter how sucky you are! XD The Rocket Launcher Battle Ship is the least of the escapee’s problems though because guess what? The Gates of Justice won’t open for pirate scum! Don’t worry though because Jimbei has a plan! Ah, I knew we could always count on you and you have yet to fail us so what is it? “We charge on through!!” 0_0 WTF, shark boy’s gone MAD! @_@
Hallelujah! Miracles do happen now if only Nico Rbbin would appear in my bed at night... 0_0
Before anything could be explained further Luffy takes a list of priorities check and decides that protecting the ship is at the top of the list. For someone so dumb he sure is smart when it comes to fighting and battles. Crocodile…whoops, I mean Captain Buggy gets the smart idea to use the Battle Ship they procured and fire the cannons back at the attacking ships *GASP*! Sounds to smart for him must be someone behind the scenes. 😉 Just when all hope seems lost and the escapees are only backing themselves into a corner the Gates of Justice open for these brave pirates?!?! 0_0 Has Poseidon taken pity on these poor creatures and decided to bestow mercy upon them? Nah, something less crazy and mythical I wonder what could it be…
Family Renuinons.......Awkwaaaaaard!
Holy shit Magellan told them to open the gates? I would have thought the Poseidon idea was more plausible than this turnout. Alas, it isn’t Magellan gone loco from extreme stress due to the failure of protecting Impel Down, but the one and only Bon-Chan masquerading as Magellan. When the hell did he do that? Last time we saw him he was crying over Ivankov’s and Inazuma’s safety http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/547/12/. He must’ve ran for the control room when Luffy and Galdino pushed back Magellan with the Giganto Stamp instead of grabbing onto Ivankov’s head. So all this time Bon-Chan out thought us all and predicted ahead to the situation of the Gates of Justice being closed even in the middle of such circumstances?! Okama smarts! Luffy wants to go back for his friend (of course) but Jimbei lays the smackdown with the hard cold truth. In order for this escape to be successful sacrifices have to be made and Bon-chan is one of those sacrifices. I believe Ivankov said it best…

There is no escape plan for Bon-Chan and he decides to give Luffy an Okama farewell. A farewell with no words. Baka *sniffle* *sniffle*! Jimebei being the big sentimental blue shark guy he is hands Luffy the baby Den-Den Mushi so he can contact Bon-Chan one last time before the gates close.

Bon-Chan is laughing his ass off at his approaching death which puts a smile on my face for his ‘I got one over you again Magellan’ attitude. 😛 Bon-Chan being the smart okama he is put Magellan’s face in his memory bank the first chance he got and his preparedness worked out in the end…for the others at least. Luffy rings the hero up on the baby Den-Den Mushi and let the emotional scene begin.

No, I’m not crying… >_> Bon-Chan finally breaks his okama farewell for a more satisfactory one. He tells Luffy to save Ace. The one thing he came here to do and strived so hard for and in the end made such an impact! The gates close and the communications are lost and everyone on that ship realizes that they all made sacrifices to get this far. So I MUST ask the question…

PREDICTION CONTEST RESULTS AND MY PREDICTION
The winner of last week….*drum roll* CHUCK NORRIS!!! Dammit! Lol, no one was even close to tell you the truth. Damn you Chuck Norris and your omnipotence! XD Here’s to next week and same rules apply.
Ahem…next week Franky will obviously be covered in the title story. The escapees will hold an okama ceremony while on the ship lead by Ivankov for their fallen comrade Bon-Chan and all the others who didn’t make it out. Meanwhile they will sail smoothly towards Marineford as no one else knows they’re coming. Whtebeard will be shown preparing to make his advance on Marinford. Ace will arrive at the place of execution. Meanwhile over in Impel Down Blackbeard and crew will recover from the poisoning finally and Shiryuu will be seen with him. Planning to reveal whatever they have up their sleeves for the world to see. Before Magellan can reopen the Gates of Justice and pursue Blackbeard will face off with him a second time maybe with the help of Shiryuu this time around. The chapter will end with Blackbeard and Shiryuu defeating Magellan. Muhahahahahahahhaa! XD

anyways good breakdown super. i was kinda upset that mr2 had to stay behind but it kinda reminded me of what sanji did with the gates. i think what happens now is the really good stuff. hopefully we get to what the other people are doing now since they’re past the gate…if we dont see whats going on its probably how luffy said that his adventure with the crew will have to hold on a bit…(maybe his own side quest to add of his great tales) its probably like the bleach part where they focused on ichigo for the longest with his fight with ulquirra then FINALLY went back to the kankura town arc…*sigh*…i guess thats my prediction as well…

Hehe, well I'll discuss with my self then. 😉
Man I can't wait for the next chapter but I don't think the Impel Down Arc is over yet. It says at the end of the manga "This may have been the greatest disgrace Impel Down has ever suffered…but this incident does not end there." Does the Impel Down Arc also encompass Ace's execution even though it's taking place outside of it and at Marineford? It would make since because the whole Arc objective is to retrieve Ace and until that is done the Arc will not be over. I suppose no matter where they go with it this is still the Impel Down Arc. Also it would still connect to Impel Down anyway if people imprisoned there (Ivankov, Inazuma, okama bunch, Crocodile, Daz Bones, Jimbei, etc…) go to Marineford with Luffy.
Now that Luffy is finally outside of Impel Down now and beyond the Gates Of Justice I wonder if Oda will concentrate more on what's happening with Whitebeard, Shanks, and maybe even Dragon. Perhaps Ace will finally arrive at Marineford, if he's not there already, and we get to see the state Marineford is in and how heavily fortified it is. I hope so…Luffy is cool and all but any one character can wear on you if the story revolves solely around him for to long. YOSH!!! 😀

oh btw super about our convo last week, i dont think making it to WRA from IRA was a dificult process for the average person but its just i have a sense of direction comparable to zoro’s and just didnt expect the whole community to move here, something that i am very relieved about however…Oh and have you been forcing people to read one piece and the comment here? I think your mention about other big name characters like whitebeard,shanks, dragon or maybe the other shibukai showing up for a couple of chapters is really likely because i doubt traveling between the gates of justice from impel down to marinford is that long a process and even though there are still some loose ends to tie-up at impel down itself i also doubt that will take long. My long distance prediction about the straw hat crew meeting the revolutionary army and ALL going to marinford at the time of aces execution is one i am still sticking too and because of that there has to be at least 11 more chapters before the return of luffys nakama (cover stories are 2 chapters each, 2 crewmembers are already done, franky half done) and i mean 11 chapters of luffy traveling to marinford seems real unikely to me so yeah, other big league characters are gunna show up.
Oh and what was all the “Franky-like” talk in the breakdown?! should i call you Aniki? 😀
@Shinobimadness: I really agree that Bon Clays actions was reminicient of Sanji and to be honest i think this whole escape has been very similar to the Enes Lobby escape/finale and i swear to god, if Luffy escapes Marinford by jumping into the sea only to land on something unexpected at the last minute i am personally going to Japan hopefully acompanied by a small elite group of likewise outraged people from this blog to teach Oda a think or two about variation *checks baseball bat is still where he left it*

Now as for One Piece, yeah like you said the big names have to show up now because we’re not going to get like 11 chapters of Luffy traveling to Marineford. We have to find out what’s going on with Blackbeard and Shiryuu back at Impel Down. What Magellan plans to do next (come to Marineford?) Also the appearances of Whitebeard, maybe Shanks, and even more maybe Dragon. Once the big players start rolling in the mangas going to pick up hella fast and Oda has to squeeze it in all before the Arc ends.
OMG the battles are going to be epic! 0_0 Now that Luffy is out of Impel Down the battles we’ve all been waiting for are closer than we thought. The Shichibukai, Admirals, Vice-Admirals, and thousands of Marines vs. Luffy, Jimbei, possibly Crocodile, Ivankov, Whitebeard Crew, and etc…Honestly I don’t know who’s going to be in this battle but by the time it ends it’s going to look like WW2 just passed by.
Honestly I don’t know what to think about Bon-Chan. On one side I want to see an important RECENT (not past A.K.A. Gol D. Roger) death. That way I know people can actually die in this manga, lol. On the other hand I don’t want Bon-Chan to die because he’s awesome as shit! Bah, only Oda knows… 🙂

The coming chapters are going to be rediculous! think of the awesomeness thats converging on Marinford, i mean i thought about it a little bit, but if you really think about it, its crazy! admirals, vice-admirals, smoker, commisioned officers, pacifista, sentomaru and shibukai.
I am thinking it is going to be both stupid and hipocritical for whitebeard and his army to go charging into Marinford, he is the man who won’t allow the death of a nakama but am i the only one thinking this is going to turn into a saving private ryan cinario where they go to save one guy and everyone else dies doing it. Whitebeard has already proved he will let his pride rule his judgement over his reason when he didnt heed Shanks’ warning to pull back Ace from his Blackbeard chase, so is he going to risk his whole armarda’s worth of nakama for Ace? honestly, i see Whitebeards death coming…
The only thing I can think of that will keeps Bon-chan alive is Blackbeard. Maybe just maybe he appears when Magellan is about to deal the final blow. He kicks Mags ass and decides to let Bon-chan live since it was thanks to him and the rest that all this could happen.
I know this isn’t of any importance but what happened to um…whats his faces name Arlong( iono if its right)? Wasn’t he locked up in Impel Down? Maybe too much was going on that he was not shown.
Don’t have any theories atm, but I do predict that we willget to see Boa in action(not that kind of action…). She is the amozon empress. She does carry a bow( I think). Also expect to see Whitebeard and shanks. Possibly Dragon. I don’t expect to see the crew at Marineford. At best maybe one or two.
Oh thought of something else! Ok so Blackbeard comes in and saves his Bonchan. He saves him because he is in need of Bonchan’s powers. Since he can’t get the real Magellan to cooperate he will use bonchan. Maybe its to get a warship there to get back or something hidden in Impel Down.

@captn: Omg i would have been so pissed off if Arlong showed up, the only one who annoys me more is Don Kreig! Hacci said that all the Arlong pirates except him were caught by the marines but they didnt say they were in impel down so my guess is they are just being held somewhere else. if they were there they would have been on level 1 or 2 since they are worth 20 mil and they would have been released by buggy.
Boa Hancock’s weapon is actually the snake that follows her around,remember all the amazon lily women have them and they can shape themselves like bows or even chairs . hmm…snakes that change shape and get rigid around women….but that note aside, im curious about what hancocks can do since its at least 3 times the size of most…pun not intended 😀
Ihope we get a good look at Flamingoes powers soon, im pretty convinced its a fruit but apparently lots of people think it isnt, so i guess we just have to wait

@Tobi: Whitebeard’s death. Now that’d be something awesome to witness especially if Bon-Chan and Ace are going to live through all this.
@Captn: The only way I could see Bon-Chan cooperating with Blackbeard is through trickery or maybe force. Bon-Chan is(was?) Luffy’s eternal friend and knows what Blackbeard did to him so I can’t see them working together. On the other hand I could see Blackbeard saving Bon-Chan but not on purpose. Maybe he bursts in there angry at what Magellan did down on Level 4 and beats him down before he harms Bon-Chan. Then he leaves Bon-Chan alone because he has no use for him…or maybe he asks for him to deliver a message to Luffy whenever they meet again…who knows?
Oh, and if we ever see Arlong (or Don Kreig) again let’s hope Nami and Sanji get their just revenge! 😉

moving on, i think that dragon will only appear if it looks like ace is about to die like he did with luffy in lougetown but im pretty sure whitebeards gonna show.i am also hoping for a more “recent” death to make it a bit more interesting……whitebeard mayb?? it does seem like no-one really dies in this manga.
PREDICTION
Luffy and his crew will attempt to sail to Ace’s excuetion location however they will encounter White Beard or Marine warships midway. This will stall them a little and the crew will onboard will be reduced by a small number. Meanwhile back at Impel Down Magellion will be preparing to kill Bon-chan when he is interrupted by whatever schene BlackBeard & Shiryuu have planned back at Impel Down. This will also take Magellion’s mind off of persuing the prisoners as only assuming he is truly capable of such action. As stated above and because its obvious Frany should appear on the front cover to continue into the second part of his short story like the previous Straw Hat crew. I believe the Straw Hat Crew won’t reunite for some time, not at Ace’s excuetion or any time soon. Kuma scatther them across the world not just the grandline heck one of them is in west blue, and another south blue if you are getting the drift. There will be some scene involving the Marine’s already at the headquaters but who knows what the hell they will be talking about. Ace shoudl arrive there soon as well.
That’s around it all. I am about to go search and read the spoilers but before that I wanted to make my prediction before I posted anything.

They identify Luffy and Buggy as the escape’s masterminds
They go on about Buggy’s history, “To think that such a great person would be hiding somewhere”
The lil’ fries praise Buggy making him ecstatic
They head on to the place of execution, with the ecstatic Buggy making the decision besides never having planned to go there
Now to Ace;
Three hours earlier, Ace climbs dark stairs up to the place of execution
As he walks, he remembers a promise he made with his little brother, Luffy, when they were children
“We’ll live a life without regrets”
“In the end, Ace comes out the bright end of the stairs”

I’m finally through to the latest chapter and now I hate that I’ll have to wait for new chapters each week, but it’s great! Can’t wait to see how this arc turns out.

Well the chapter was nothing special. I guess it was just a warm-up for greater things to come.
It sucks, though, that Buggy got most of the credit for the Impel Down incident. That’s definitely gonna drop Luffy’s bounty increase at the end of this arc.
I’m curious to see how the crew gets back together, though. I mean…some of them aren’t even in grand line anymore. Poor Robin…she landed in the worst place…or is it Sanji that did? I can’t decide, lol.

Well what do you know. Arlong’s face shows up this chapter. Seems like Jimbei might have something against Luffy. Maybe Arlong was his brother? Well w/e it is Jimbei is having second thoughts on the matter since Luffy isn’t a bad guy. This will get interesting later.

@Captn: That’s exactly what I was thinking and I was going to post it but if I did then that would have been three posts in a row so I decided against it =P. However he said he would let it go for now so I don’t think he would be doing anything about it. Maybe after the arc (if he lives) he would address the topic.
