Kishimoto Interviews:2008 AND 2009 And A Notice At The End @_@

Well I had nothing better to do with my time, not to mention I had no chapter to do this week. So I decided to do this instead. So all you Narutards and people who love spoilers, this is your place. We also have a little notice at the end so you can skip the spoilers for that if you’re afraid of them. I have even put the spoilers in red for you. LETS GO!!!

Kishimoto interview 2008

  1. Akatsuki Leader’s(not confirmed if its Pein / Madara) strength can’t be matched even with 3 Sannins of the leaf.
    • With Jiraiya’s death against Pain this seems to be confirmed, and by knowing that even Orochimaru was under Pain’s lead when he was in Akatsuki. Not to mention Tsunade was unable to stop him from destroying Konoha.
  2. There is another character in Akatsuki, and unexpected member will bring a chaos
    • Uchiha Madara
  3. One of the Akatsuki’smember becomes friend/ally with Naruto
    • Konan
  4. Naruto’s seal will be released by the end of 08, or beginning of the 09. At least 4 tails will be released, be prepared it could be shocking scene
    • I think we ALL remember that incident
  5. Toad dies(he laughs)
    • Fukasaku (Pa frog)
  6. 3 of Naruto’s important people will die or get seriously injured
    • Almost confirmed. Jiraiya(dead),  Kakashi (died) and Tsunade(still in a coma)
  7. Sasuke’s skills cannot be matched against Naruto’s new skills.
    • 2 and1/2 years of training with Jiraiya, Rasengan arsenal, elemental training, Sage mode. He packs a punch nowadays.
  8. Sasuke v. Itachi is great scale, and later Naruto’s information about family and bloodline will show up
    • Sasuke v. Itachiis over with Sasuke’s victory. Naruto’s parents revealed to be Kushina and Minato.
  9. Sai, he will cause something huge(laughs)
    • Sai.. The love guru of Konoha.
  10. 4th’s secret and bloodline will be shown
    • Confirmed, by revealing that 4th’s blood line with its name “Namikaze Minato”* Also confirmed by showing that 4th is Naruto’s father * Still some more to come I expect.
  11. 2 huge characters of Konoha will die.
    • Jiraiya, Kakashi died for a bit. But it could be someone else.
  12. There is a female member in Akatsuki
    • Konan
    1. Akatsuki will invade Konoha with its mysterious beasts, and Shiranui Genma will provide  great help to Konoha
    • Well if you can Pein a ‘beast’. Or they have finally decided to unleash the tailed beasts on them. As for Genma. It’s about time he showed his cocktail stick around here.

Followings are the Kishi’s words @ 2008 Jump Festa

1. Uchiha’s secret will be revealed and 2 of the remaining will die

  • Itachi being ordered to kill the Uchiha clan. Itachi is dead, so who will croak first? Sasuke or Madara? Taking bets here people!

2. Akatsuki’s leader kills 6 people

-> After the Konoha ‘incident’ I believe he killed MORE than 6 people…

3. Sasuke and Itachi’s fight will cause chaos;  Uchiha Madara’s secrets are revealed and all the skills of the MS will be revealed. The fight will end with death of one.
*** MS : Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, and finally Susano’o. Itachi died T_T

4. Naruto will collide with Pain; Kakashi’s team will collide with Tobi. There will be big turnaround on Tobi v. Kakashi’s team.
Naruto v. Pain will be fights of the “beasts”. Be prepared, during this fight there will be deaths from Naruto’s team.

->Naruto has already faced off against Pein. So it is just the Madara fight to come. Maybe in the land of Iron?

5. 3 new members will join the Akatsuki. They will be stronger than Deidara, Hidan, and Kakuzu. One of them is the brother/sister of the Hokage

-> Still haven’t met the new members. But the person shall be a sibling of Danzou.

6. Naruto’s new skills and the result of the training will reveal when he fight against Pain.
He has learned all of the Jiraiya’s jutsu during the 3 years of the time and he became
much stronger. He did not learn the “toad mode or w.e u call it”. Naruto also learned
3 of the 4th’s jutsus.

-> Rasengan, Sage mode. Maybe the sealing jutsu or the summoning jutsu?

7. After all these fights, there will be a great war

-> Hasn’t happened… yet..

8. There will be death on Tobi v. Naruto team and one of them becomes unable to fight.

-> Well if this weeks spoiler is correct then Yamato, Naruto and Kakashi will be facing off against him. Turn around for them may be the arrival of the Rookie 9.

9. Jinchuuriki of the 8 tailed will be revealed. This Jinchuuriki kills one of the Akatsuki’s members and invades Konoha
by him/herself. During this fight one dies, and one will lose his/her eyesight

-> Killer Bee is the Jinchuuriki. He is meant to face off against Kisame. As for the invasion, that has not happened yet.

This is a late post from March 2008 Shonen Jump

SJ = Shonen Jump
MK = Masashi Kishimoto

SJ: There’s many rumours regarding Madara being the absolute final villain. Is this true?

MK: Madara being the final villain is yet to be seen and I can’t let that information out just yet. But he will play a big part as a villain, that’s for sure.

SJ: Now that it’s officially known that Yondaime is Naruto’s father, will you show more of Minato?

MK: Yes, definitely. I actually wanted to reveal more about Yondaime earlier, but other characters were in development and some fights still had to be dealt with.

SJ: While we’re at it… could you please tell us if Minato was the strongest shinobi that ever lived?

MK: Hmmm, it’s a tricky question. As far as dead shinobis goes, then yes, he’s the strongest. I’d say that Sandaime shares the number one spot with him. As far as living shinobis goes… well, without going into many details I’d have to say no. There’s a couple of shinobis whose stronger than him.

SJ: Now that Itachi seems to be dead, what is Kisame going to do now?

MK: Kisame has always come off as a side villain whose only purpose is to travel along Itachi. But to my surprise, Kisame has gone from an unpopular character to someone whose more popular than Deidara after the Gai-fight. I won’t say too much, but Kisame is a character that wont die anytime soon. I will definitely develop on his character more and possibly make him…

SJ: Make him what?

MK: It’s a surprise

2009

Kishimoto san makes it sound like Kakashi is still alive.

He also expressed his sympathy over Jiraiya’s death. But he (Jiraiya) probably might turn into Pain.

The conversation moved from the recent mounting character deaths to “you can’t tell until you read to the end”.
Well, that’s true. He made it clear for Jiraiya’s case.

I’m sad about the part which he said he couldn’t draw one part of the Naruto manga.
I wanted to see the pictures of those stuff he couldn’t draw.
Nothing particular about Sasuke. There were loads of topics about the 10th anniversary for this year.

He made a comment about the scene showing the incredible Kage Bunshin technique against Kimimaro, being a pain to draw. That sounds like Kishimoto san had strained his back too much. But that’s just the thing that makes Kishimoto san great. (Reflects also) his humility/simplicity.

– Kakashi’s death is not being addressed clearly. What will happen is not known. Hence it’s better to read till the end.
– Jiraiya had drawn the conclusion for himself. This can be seen in Vol 42’s front cover. Though it’s called “death”, it was mentioned in a less direct manner.
– “Why was Jiraiya killed?” <bitter smile>, “He was such a good character.” <bitter smile>
– “You’ve been killing too many characters lately.” <laughs>
– The time when Kishimoto drew in the most diligent Kishimoto-style was during Naruto vs Kimimaro. The reason being, the Kage Bunshin scene was a huge task to draw. However, (that scene) didn’t seem quite well-received according to the popularity voting results.
– He likes to draw all kinds of frogs. He won’t be drawing one part of Naruto. Snake scales is troublesome (to draw).
– Shueisha and various companies have plans for the 10th Anniversary. Kishimoto is very inspired thus to draw better so it can be expected that the manga will get more interesting.
– “I’ve no intention to continue this (series) over a long period of time” <laughs> Well, though this is said every year, right now is the best part of the story which I want to bring forth. Do stay tune with the series till the end.”

Pics

Who are the best supporting characters from Konoha!?
1 Hatake Kakashi
2 Orochimaru
3 Tsunade
4 Jiraiya
5 Uchiha Itachi
6 Uchiha Madara
7 Asuma.Shikamaru (chocy: I think it’s a tie)
8 Yamato
9 Gaara (chocy: the title mentioned Konoha though…)
10 Umino Iruka

When Asuma’s child (his child’s gender has not been decided) is born, will Shikamaru play an active role in bringing him/her up?

He’s thinking of making Asuma and  Kurenai’s child a she, but he’s not sure. apparently he’s not even sure if there would be a kid.

Will Tsunade’s original wrinkly appearance be revealed when she deals with Pain?

Something about being reluctant to draw Tsunade’s original appearance.

he used to write Tsunade’s lines in circle dialogue box-thingies but after hearing the person doing her voice, he started making them pointy boxes.

Tsunade loves sake, but she’s drinking less cause Naruto is a shonen and they asked him to stop. even with the cover pic, he drew her drinking sake at first but they made him change it. cigarettes are a no-no too.

I think because next year is the 10th anniversary that is why they seem to be doing everything and anything.

Iruka was only in 10th place for misc character ranking, so he was surprised. thought Iruka would be more popular

He was surprised Yamato was in, cuz he didn’t expect to see him make it into the rankings

Oh, Kishimoto liked him (Yamato) but the anime staff had asked him “this character looks boring, but is he gonna be important in the story?” (Because  if it’s an important character, they’d hire a good person to do his voice)

Kishi thanked the crowd for supporting Naruto all these years.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There weren’t much spoilers in the latest interview. Damn spoiler holding Kishi… But at least we got something! Well to the notice. Some of the members here are considering adding another manga to the blog. So we would appreciate if you, the readers, would give us your ideas on what should be added. Or if you have any other ideas for the blog. A ‘ Spamming Discussion’ on the blog is not allowed apparently. Some people don’t understand the art behind it. 😦
We hope to see a lot of your ideas on this,
Ja
  1. FIIIIRRRRSSSTTT!!!!! XD
  2. Second! O_O
  3. I took some time off to read this, since i’m really busy lately
    Omg, Kishi >:O Give us more spoiler!
    Anyways ya…did you know I decided not to do the breakdowns? D: I’m super busy, but I came back to say hi…so…hi =]
  4. Third!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! o_O
  5. Aww Kishi, I want to know more!!!!! Haha, great job. I’m happy that you posted this!
    I think Fairy Tail or Akaboshi breakdowns would be great :]
  6. He hates giving out spoilers apparently… -__-”
    So I have just heard Alexie lol. Don’t worry. We have someone to cover it 😉 And have fun being busy 😛
  7. lolz kooliez too get a overview of what he told us and what happend 😛
  9. awesomeness! but i already knew all about this from mangafox. -.-
  10. honestly, i wanna see someone do a “Freezing” breakdown. It’s a kick ass manga and it’s kinda new. That or History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi. Both are awesomeness….
    Hell yeah, HSD Kenichi is freakin awesome! 2bad few other realise this fact [sigh]
    -Mudshovel
  11. I’m 10th or 11th if you count alexie’s two posts.
    Anyway Kishi didn’t give us that much information and Alexie, I wouldn’t know how your posts are because I don’t read One Piece. 😛
  12. At least part of those interviews are fake, right? I know they’re all over the internet, but look at the 2008 Jump Festa… Kishi gives away HUGE amounts of information about his plot and characters. It’s ridiculous – he never does this in any other interviews, not to this scale. Also, he says Naruto will not get ‘Toad mode’ or whatever it is called, and tada, Naruto did get that.
    Sorry to burst bubbles, but that one is most likely a fake.
    I know that most of them are confirmed. I had my doubts about the Jump Festa one too, but through all the facts giving to us through the manga so far, as well as the date it was published. I have to say it looks pretty accurate
    –Eatencookie
  13. AHHHHH SPOILERS!!!!
    *covers eyes and ears*
    *after much falling over finds a lighter and some petrol*
    *burns post down*
    Wheeeeew that could have been bad. Save ur applause, u’ll thank me when u don’t wreck the twists to follow… 😛
  14. There is a twist? o_O *makes note to drug mud with coffee* *rubs hands together evilly* And you can pay for that post! OR else @_@
  15. Well, that’s all fine and dandy that most of the facts seem correct, but when trying to prove whether something is genuine or not you only have to find one error to dispute the whole thing. And I just pointed that one out. I’m just talking about the Jump Festa one, by the way – I don’t know about the others. But if Kishimoto supposedly said Naruto would not get Sage Mode and he did, then it’s pretty obvious it’s fake. Also, never before has Kishi given away so much of his plot. Killerbee invading Konoha? New Akatsuki members? This is huge pieces of plot we’re talking about. Unless Kishimoto was drunk or high he would never give away so much, and if he was either of those things then what he said should be taken with a grain of salt.
    About the dates – just out of curiosity – do you have any proof of when it was posted? It’s not impossible that it really is from 2008, of course – in which case they made some pretty accurate guesses. But it’s also possible it’s not from 2008 at all, even though it says so in the interview itself. Though, if you can find it has actually been posted in 2008 that would clear that up.
  16. @Sleaw Right I am going to get this straight before you give me a headache.lol. This same interview was posted over at iareawesomeness on December 8 2008, and it was confirmed. So yeah, I think that date pretty much says it all, don’t you? Not to mention a lot of the things that were in that spoiler that did happened, hadn’t happened then. Now to what you were trying to point out. What they were referring to when they said Naruto hadn’t learned Sage mode, they had meant that he hadn’t learned it with his training with Jiraiya, which he didn’t. He learned it with his training with Pa frog NOT Jiraiya. So yes the spoilers are confirmed. 😀
  17. Now you’re just conveniently reading those sentences the way they fit for you. For clarification, we’re talking about this part:
    Naruto’s new skills and the result of the training will reveal when he fight against Pain.
    He has learned all of the Jiraiya’s jutsu during the 3 years of the time and he became much stronger. He did not learn the “toad mode or w.e u call it”. Naruto also learned 3 of the 4th’s jutsus
    Right. First statement:
    Naruto’s new skills and the result of the training will reveal when he fight against Pain.
    This has indeed happened, but we could already predict from about the end of July 2008 that Pain would fight Naruto, around the time when Madara talked to Konan and Pain about capturing Naruto. And everyone knows that Naruto would brandish new techniques in a fight against Akatsuki’s ‘leader’; that’s how it works in this story and indeed in many others. Also, he would logically need a powerup to beat him.
    Keep in mind that this first sentence tells us this little paragraph is about Naruto’s new powers, not about his training with Jiraiya specifically.
    Now, the next few statements elaborate on this statement (Naruto having new techniques when fighting Pain);
    1. He has learned all of Jiraiya’s Jutsu during the three years of training (we have barely seen him use any of Jiraiya’s jutsu like hair needle barrage, toad oil or others; it’s mainly the Sage powers he got from Pa Toad, the Rasengan that was Minato’s, the Rasenshuriken he developed himself and the frog summons that is just a summoning technique with the right animal rather than a specific Jiraiya-jutsu) and became much stronger (duh).
    2.He did not learn the “toad mode or w.e u call it”.
    It doesn’t say he didn’t learn it in those three years specifically; this line refers still to “Naruto’s new powers in fighting Pain” just like the sentence before and the sentence after, not to “three years of training” which itself only gives detailed information about what Naruto learned from Jiraiya.
    3. Naruto learned 3 of the 4th’s jutsu. Well, we know about Rasengan, but what’s the rest? They may be referring to ‘That jutsu’ which we still don’t know what it is. But wouldn’t that leave another? If he has learned such special moves, why didn’t he use them when fighting Pain or even think about using them? Well, let’s leave that one since we barely know anything of it.
    So basically, the disputed part – the second line – can be read either way; referring to the time he spent with Jiraiya or referring to the new powers he’ll show when fighting Pain. Since the paragraph was about Naruto’s powerups in the first place I’m inclined to think the ‘toad mode’ comment referred to that as well, though of course it may not be. We don’t know. Perhaps Kishi really pulled an oh so clever word trick on us even though for the rest he gave away huge slabs of his plot. Yeah.
    Thanks for giving the post date – that clears things up a bit. But as for saying ‘it was confirmed’, well, that obviously doesn’t confirm anything. I can say ‘it was proven wrong’, and that would mean just as much. It’s not proof. Proof would be direct footage/official print of his words during the 2008 Festa, or even a reliable eye witness, though I doubt there’s much of that around. You can only doubt so much, of course, but personally I dislike the look of this interview enough to distrust it for now. I’ll humbly swallow my words as soon as Killerbee invades Konoha and, well, the rest happens. Before that, I’m sceptical.
    Oh, about some other things – the interview says Pain would invade Konoha with the mysterious beasts. But he didn’t use those. Also, if Killerbee will kill one Akatsuki, and he’s facing up against Kisame, and Kishi stated in another interview that Kisame won’t die anytime soon, then how does that work out?
    Much love.
  18. @Sleaw: Hi Sleaw welcome to WRA! Now I hope we don’t get off on the wrong foot here but I just had to respond to your posts.
    “Well, that’s all fine and dandy that most of the facts seem correct, but when trying to prove whether something is genuine or not you only have to find one error to dispute the whole thing. And I just pointed that one out.” (Sleaw)
    That one error you supposedly pointed is no error at all. Let’s look at the whole paragraph instead of just looking at sections and interpreting the individuals sentences shall we? After all you did say this…
    “Now you’re just conveniently reading those sentences the way they fit for you.” (Slew)
    You just finished breaking down the paragraph down and conveniently interpreted the individual sentences to your liking did you not?
    But if you look at the whole paragraph as a whole…
    “6. Naruto’s new skills and the result of the training will reveal when he fight against Pain. He has learned all of the Jiraiya’s jutsu during the 3 years of the time and he became much stronger. He did not learn the “toad mode or w.e u call it”. Naruto also learned 3 of the 4th’s jutsus.” (Kishi)
    -> Rasengan, Sage mode. Maybe the sealing jutsu or the summoning jutsu?
    That is obviously referring to his time and training spent with Jiraiya. He did not learn toad mode from Jiraiya which we know to be true.
    1. Rasengan one of the 4ths jutsu was learned from Jiraiya.
    2. The toad summoning is also one of the jutsus the 4th used and he also learned that from Jiraiya. Remember he summoned Gamabunta to fight the Kyuubi 16 years ago.
    3. As for the 3rd jutsu I have no idea what it could be. Maybe something not revealed yet? When Kishi says “all” of Jiraiya’s jutsu he most likely means all Jiraiya’s main ones (Rasengan, summonings, and in the filler he learned something like the toad oil and fire frog combination Jiraiya does. Except Naruto uses water and chakra for his frog combination). I really don’t like to use filler references but perhaps the filler was filling us in on more jutsu Naruto learned from Jiraiya. As for the spiky hair… Naruto can’t become an exact clone of Jiraiya now could he? 😉
    I believe the proof of these interview’s credentials are in how accurate they have been proven so far. I think you can agree that the 2008 interview for the most part has been proven accurate has it not? You don’t have to believe the interview and no one is forcing you too. It’s fine that you offer up your opinion on these interviews but please don’t make it seem like this is all BS. You don’t offer any evidence that these interviews can be discredited while the accuracy of the 2008 interview provides more than enough proof that these interviews can and should be taken seriously.
    Of course Kishi is allowed to change his mind and does often depending on what the fans want to see. I remember him saying he wasn’t planning on Kisame turning out to be a good guy but due to his popularity with the fans Kishi decided to give him a bigger role in the manga. Things change and that could cause some of his past interviews to be wrong in the future. You make some good points and being skeptical isn’t bad in this case. For the most part though these interviews are as accurate as can be.
  19. Hi, Supertrek!
    I appreciate your post, but on the disputed part you don’t really add a lot, just like I really didn’t add much in my last post, I suppose. The argument so far goes like this:
    1. I say the Jump Festa interview must be fake because Naruto did get Sage Mode while the interview says he didn’t.
    2. Eatencookie says Kishi only meant that Naruto didn’t learn it from Jiraiya – a fair argument, and possibly correct.
    3. I say ‘No he didn’t!’
    4. You say ‘Yes he did!’
    And if I were to go on I’d probably just repeat myself over and over again since I have no further arguments, just like you guys don’t. The things is, like I said in my previous post but which you appear to have missed;
    “Since the paragraph was about Naruto’s powerups in the first place I’m inclined to think the ‘toad mode’ comment referred to that as well, though of course it may not be. We don’t know.”
    See what I’m saying? We don’t know for sure. It could be read either way. Saying one way or the other is ‘true’ or ‘how Kishi meant it’ is just silly, because, as said, we don’t know. The way I read it it would make that interview fake. The way you read it it wouldn’t. Tough luck – we’ll have to agree to disagree.
    Now, here’s a fun part I only just spotted – you say that Summoning and Rasengan are two of the three of the Fourth’s jutsu that Naruto learned – but he learned both of them before the three years of training with Jiraiya, not during. Following your own argument – that we are talking about what he learned during those three years – neither summoning nor Rasengan can be one of those three jutsu. So either you’re saying that Naruto still has three jutsu up his sleeve that belonged to Minato, that he learned during those three years but NEVER used or hinted on, or you can say that maybe that text wasn’t about those three years of training after all. Pick a choice – it’s one or the other, or your argument falls apart.
    If it says he learned ‘all’ of Jiraiya’s jutsu then why would you assume he meant ‘only the main ones’? You say it is ‘most likely’ that Kishi meant this and that, but how is it most likely? Neither of us knows what Kishi meant, assuming these are his words at all. Saying one thing is more likely just because it supports your argument doesn’t make it true. This goes for both of us, of course – I stated my opinion as fact as well in my last post.
    Anyway, back to the point – again, according to your argument him learning ‘all of Jiraiya’s jutsu’ would also refer to the three year period, but we have hardly seen him learn anything new technique-wise in those years – he already knew Rasengan and Summoning. Same applies as what I said above.
    Then, you say that because many of the items in this interview seem right, the whole thing must be right, but in debating you only need one error to cast doubt on the credibility of the whole thing. If 99% of the interview turned out to be correct but one turned out to be completely wrong, then it can’t have been Kishi’s interview or it wouldn’t have been wrong. Of course, like you said, he may change things – but do you really think that by December last year Kishi still thought he wasn’t going to give Naruto Sage Mode in the Pain fight? I don’t think he makes up the plot on a week-by-week basis. He’s got it planned out, and while he can mess around with details and side characters, he can hardly just decide to give Naruto a whole new power only a few chapters before he has to use it. In December it was already known Jiraiya had Sage Mode, and to get the message about Pain out he was going to send the frog, who then trained Naruto in Sage Mode. It all fits together, and I don’t think Kishi only made this up at the last moment.
    Also, like I already said, I’m only talking about the Jump Festa interview – I don’t know about the rest. Don’t say I’m calling the rest BS as well, because I think many of them are a lot more likely to be correct than the Jump Festa one.
    Thanks for letting me say what I want to say and being open-minded about it.
    Sleaw
  20. Fair enough Sleaw you make some great points I can’t counter such as the 3 jutsus learned. I knew you’d point that out while I wrote it. XD
    All I can say is what Kishi may have meant is by up that point Naruto has learned 3 of the 4ths jutsus. It’s exactly like you said. It depends on how your read it no?
    Overall, I’m just saying that going off of the accuracy of the 2008 interview these interviews are “as accurate as can be” and thus can be trusted for the most part. Never said fully accurate because that would be false. As long as you understand this which I believe you do then all is good. I’d take a 99% accuracy track record over nothing at all. 😉
    I don’t know about the 2009 interview either because I try to avoid spoilers. I heard nothing much is revealed but I’m keeping my eyes shut on it anyway. >_<
  21. hmmmm a debate in the back ground where the hell have i been >_<
